Wasp report July 2013

A settled month with what could almost be called a heatwave, the hottest July since 2006. Good heavens!

Wasp activity was at its highest for the year so far but due to the low general population, and the widespread use of Waspinators, not many nasty incidents were reported.

However their dietary requirements have changed from protein to carbohydrate and resultantly they will be attacking any barbecues, picnics and alfresco activities involving food or drink that they can find. They have a very strong sense of smell and vision, and are attracted by bright colours, so picnicers beware!
